UL is seeking a Technical Product Owner to join the iON team in Dublin, Ireland.
iON is a big data platform combining data ingest, data enrichment, analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The iON team are now looking to add a Technical Product Owner to our Dublin team to accelerate the growth of the most innovative UL digital technology investment in its history. Our goal is to enable the UL client base to effectively leverage recent developments in the digital revolution, by giving them the ability to truly leverage their own corpus of data combined with 3rd party data sources, UL’s core data sources and deep Voice of Science competences, to win in a rapidly evolving digital eco-system.
The primary objective of the Technical Product Owner role is to own and drive the delivery of technical content for our iON platform. We are not looking for an “order taker” for this role, we are looking for someone who will lead the technical requirements process, gather information on their own initiative, instruct/direct the scrum teams and not be afraid to make decisions.

We are developing a next generation intelligent platform to deliver insights into customer data and help them identify areas to improve and drive competitive advantage. The solution is hosted on Microsoft Azure and takes advantage of Azure’s PAAS features. As part of this work we are looking for a talented UI developer to join the team and help develop a white-labelable, flexible UI in Angular based on a component library you will be helping develop. We are looking for someone who understands modern best practice in development, who produces high-quality code, who understands the key role of testing throughout the development process, and wants the chance to challenge themselves in a fast-paced environment to produce leading edge business intelligence products. The Scrum Master role is one of our key hires and will be responsible for running initially one scrum team but must be able to scale to run two teams simultaneously. We see this as an active role within the team and the ideal candidate will have the enthusiasm and experience to be a core member of our team, and to drive and continuously improve our Agile development practices.

UL's Identity Management & Security (IMS) division is looking for an Intern to support in strategic developments around Internet-of-Things (IoT) Security. The world of IoT Security is still young and therefore unregulated and unstandardized. Over the last years, a lot of standardization initiatives have sprouted around the world, including certification and compliance frameworks such as UL's Cybersecurity Assurance Program (CAP). Additionally, some leading governments will be enforcing regulatory requirements around IoT Security from 2020 onwards.
