    Reporting to the Vice President and Managing Director of Greater China region and the Corporate Strategy Director, the successful incumbent will play a key role in managing the strategic planning process for the region to ensure continued successful growth and profitability of the organization. He/she will also be responsible for the following:


    • Works closely with Greater China Leadership to develop strategies which drive overall success for UL in the region;
    • Manages the Greater China strategy development process to align the priorities of the region with the business units and divisions within the region;
    • Leads development and execution of key regional strategic initiatives to maximize the company’s growth and profitability in the region;
    • Conducts market scan, identify and evaluate strategic research and competitive intelligence for potential acquisition/divestitures and business opportunities that are in line with UL’s long range goals;
    • Conducts appropriate due diligence to ensure the reliability of information provided by potential targets;
    • Maintains regular contact with the market and manages regional market intelligence gathering and analysis as input to regional strategic decisions.



    • Degree holder with at least 8 years related experiences;
    • Excellent business acumen with proven success in handling complex projects within a complex organization structure;
    • Demonstrated skills in business and market assessment; preferably with experience in using strategy structures and frameworks;
    • A good team player who possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills; able to multi-tasks and deliver results under time and resources constraints;
    • Culturally sensitive and is able to communicate effectively with strong proficiency in English and Putonghua.
