What you’ll learn & achieve:

Working under the supervision of the global team and support the renewable energy certification projects globally. He/she will evaluate in Ansys and nCode the design for approval of the structural components of a wind turbine like hub, shaft, frames, tower, rotor  blades etc.

Further, the engineer will be responsible for improving/developing the tools for the evaluation of the structural components of a wind turbine.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Working closely with the Segment leader and Global team, the Engineer will be responsible to support the Project execution on time along with customer management and expanding UL Renewables Certification services in India.

Key responsibilities are,

  • Evaluation of structural components (casted, forged, welded, composites) in Ansys and ncode
  • Utilize Hypermesh, Ansys and ncode to perform the duties
  • Perform linear, non-linear and buckling analysis
  • Develop and improve tools for FEA evaluation to increase the evaluation efficiency
  • Communication with business partners in India and abroad

What makes you a great fit:

  • Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, or any equivalent field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in structural analysis, fatigue failure, fracture mechanics, FEA calculations, structural steel materials, composites and cast materials
  • Master in commercialized numerical simulation tools Ansys (classic/Workbench), Hypermesh and ncode
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills (English speaking and writing)
  • Customer focus, commitment and independent work
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to work in a fast paced consultancy environment
  • Ability and willingness to develop and expand business
  • Experience in the continuous development of work processes (Lean Six Sigma) is desirable
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
