Within our Appliances, HVAC and Lighting (AHL) division, our vision is to enable safe and high performing products to enter the global markets by providing industry leading safety, performance and expert services to our clients. AHL has over 1,000 employees globally and serves manufacturers and retailers in eleven segments - Major Domestic Appliances, Food Service Equipment, Power Tools, Controls, HVAC, Lighting, Water Quality products, and more! As our global footprint continues to spread across the world, we are looking for a Business Development Manager with a focus on new lighting appliances to join our team in Shanghai.

In this role you will work closely with our clients to deliver a total solution package to cover full product life cycle services – from product concept design to recycling – and a customizable, comprehensive portfolio of services to our customers.

 

What you’ll learn & achieve:

Manages and coordinates on an industry basis with UL’s larger customers over all related industries. Position works on strategies with sales managers to generate revenue growth and achieve bookings goals. Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues. Assists industry leadership in the development of industry account strategies, goals and plans with a focus on driving a foundation for industry growth for UL. Focuses on customer satisfaction, account growth and expansion of services provided, and sustaining customer loyalty for a group of key customers. Works with key customers to understand emerging needs of organization.

  • Manages and coordinates on an industry basis with UL’s larger customers over all related industries.
  • Position works on strategies with sales managers to generate revenue growth and achieve bookings goals.
  • Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues.
  • Develops and coordinates executive presentations and de-briefings.
  • Assists industry leadership in the development of global account strategies, goals and plans.
  • Focuses on customer satisfaction, account growth and expansion of services provided, and sustaining customer loyalty for a group of key customers.
  • May provide work direction to other employees in charge of specific customer accounts.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

What makes you a great fit:

  • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Marketing or a related disciplines plus generally five years of experience in highest value corporate account management or eight years of experience in Marketing and/or Sales area with account management experience.
  • Experience in IoT Lighting and new lighting applications is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, acquire and manage high value customer accounts.
  • Ability to sell “at the highest level” with a compelling value-add strategy approach.
  • Detailed understanding of the applicable industry product lines and target markets.
