    Software Implementation Project Manager – Nottingham or Arnhem

    UL is offering an excellent opportunity working as a Software Implementation Project Manager at a very exciting time for the company. You will be responsible for assisting major clients within our Retail and Industry division and manage all activities (functional, technical and administrative).


    • Manages and facilitate all customer interactions and communications during the project implementation.
    • Ensuring quality delivery across all projects lead by team members.
    • Acting as escalation point for any projects not running as per client expectations. Escalating further as required.
    • Identifying any projects not running to plan and proactively addressing before the client is impacted.
    • Deploy tailored training programs for all key members of the team to ensure their initial and continued professional development.
    • Participate with other Group Leads and Managers in Professional Services in group level discussions, meetings, and process improvement projects.
    • Manage multiple projects
    • Negotiate agreement on project schedule and budgets and manages engagements using best practices against a defined project plan
    • Identifies, manages and monitors completion of deliverables throughout project lifecycle
    • Demonstrates understanding of the need to manage risk issues
    • Participates in the application of the risk management process
    • Troubleshoots and resolves complex client issues
    • Stays abreast of enterprise-wide projects and prevents or manages associated conflicts
    • Determines the impact of current/existing technologies on the project and communicates impact to sponsors and key stakeholders
    • Provides regular and timely reporting of project progress to project team and project sponsors.
    • Addresses incidents of customer dissatisfaction and assists with a timely resolution. This includes utilizing escalation paths if necessary and keeping the customer informed.
    • Manages overall project cost, quality, and performance.
    • Works with assigned resources and managers to develop and coordinate deliverables and deadlines.
    • Analyses customer business process for improvement and incorporation into the application development.


    Experience in software implementation and / or support required. Experience in the field of Studio Software, Supply Chain, or Environmental Health and Safety is a distinct advantage.

    Education: The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent.

    Required skills, knowledge and characteristics:

    • Independent self-starter with a can-do attitude
    • Detail-oriented
    • Strong technical background including: Basic database principles, Microsoft technologies, system analysis and design, ERP, software configuration and application troubleshooting.
    • Experience with project management related software packages.
    • Effective communicator with good interpersonal skills as this is a customer-facing role
    • Experience leading multiple, concurrent client-facing implementations
    • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
    • Strong understanding of project scoping, definition of customer requirements and how best to communicate these internally
    • Strong leadership experience, leading team members across multiple projects, with the aim of achieving the overall commercial/business goals
    • Line management qualities, encouraging and supporting personal development of team members and preparing the team’s skills/knowledge to achieve the business goals effectively
