    UL is expanding its presence in ASEAN as the  Appliances & HVAC  industry continues to rapidly develop in the region. Bolstered by world-leading economic growth, demand for AHVAC safety and energy efficiency testing services in ASEAN has continued to surge over the years. With its strategic presence the  Appliances & HVAC opened a new laboratory in Samut Prakan, Thailand. The new facility features cutting-edge testing equipment and will serve as UL’s regional hub for testing appliances, as well as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (AHVAC) equipment, across diverse industries. Thailand – the second largest economy in Southeast Asia – and a highly skilled engineering team, the new laboratory will enable UL’s customers to gain rapid access to global markets through safer, superior products.  In this new hiring the successful incumbent will be responsible for bringing in significant business from assigned accounts by increasing account share & account penetration in the ASEAN region.     Responsibilities

    • Identify and engage stakeholders in the Appliances and HVAC Industry
    • Identify prospects through various lead generated activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling on key industry players and referral program
    • Generate sales for company services in Thailand 
    • Acquire new customers, cross sell across Business Units to existing customers, and save customers at risk
    • Interface with prospects to understand their decision making process and criteria, and their needs
    • Make value propositions, handle objections, prepare quotes, and close sales by getting prospects’ commitments
    • Prepare and submit sales report, which includes tracking of order amount, demand forecasting and market intelligence
    • Meet revenue targets and work closely with Operations and Industry leaders to achieve Corporate Revenue goals

    Qualifications

    • University degree in related field; or  Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Marketing, Engineering or related field 
    • Bi-lingual w/ English written and verbal communication skills is required, proficiency in a secondary language preferred;
    • At least 5 years working experience in Sales or Business Development
    • Proven sales track record; service-oriented with pleasant personality; strong presentation & communication skills
    • Knowledge and experiences with TIC business, Appliance/HVAC Industry preferred
    • Have good relationship with provincial manufacturer will be an advantage
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Thai is a plus 
    • Individuals with a highly positive mindset, mature and creative thinking and willingness to travel
