    This position is with our Connected Technologies of the Consumer Technology (CTECH) Business Unit and will be sitting in UL Singapore Laboratory (CTECH) located at Kian Teck (Nearest MRT at Pioneer) You can find out more about this division here - https://ctech.ul.com/en/services-page/ 

    Responsibilities

     

    • As directed follows defined test plans and datasheets. Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results and completes test report for Engineering staff.
    • As instructed examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case. Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
    • Operates with supervision within defined limits of responsibility.
    • Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
    • Performs other duties as directed.
    • Responsible for evaluating, explaining, and completing test results of customer samples.
    • Follows defined test plans and data sheets.
    • Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computing Engineering, or similar disciplines with strong interest in product and solutions development and validation. Preferably with RF/EMC background for testing and trouble shooting.
    • Able to manage and co-ordinate the scheduled and perform testing according to test procedures
    • Manage initial test setup & preparation
    • Able to perform soldering
    • Perform first level troubleshooting on issues
    • Compile test summary & defects summary
    • Validation of benchtop / retesting
    • Be Proactive and Team Player
    • Knowledge of RF/EMC test methodologies and use of RF/EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, noise figure meter and network analyzer; will be added advantage
