    The Learning and Organizational Development Manager is responsible for various classroom-style training and development programs, such as management and leadership training. This position functions as a regional manager of high-level training programs as well as a contributor to training program success on a global scale. This role also leads, manages and provides guidance to UL teams in planning and implementing organization development interventions as well as collaborates with internal colleagues to gain knowledge of business direction, learning needs, and conducts or facilitates specific learning and development programs. 

    Responsibilities

    • Partner closely with business leaders and HR business partners to identify the overall appropriate learning and organizational needs to improve the performance of leaders, teams and organizations according to business direction and formulate and implement learning and organizational development plans and projects that reinforce the leadership behaviors that align to ULs culture and values. 
    • Design, develop and facilitate leadership and management training/workshops/programs and apply organization development expertise to a variety of projects including strategy development, leadership development, change management, organization design, and culture transformation across a diverse set of businesses and teams utilizing instructor led and virtual delivery platforms. Participate, curate and lead communities of practice and promote self-directed learning and mutual colleague sharing of knowledge and insights. 
    • Lead local/regional learning and organizational development projects using effective project management and leadership skills. Proactively communicate to key stakeholders and make proactive adaptations. Understand key control points of multi-level projects and manage risks to keep projects on track. Provide professional advice and influence others with and without authority. Manage and acquire budgets and resources.  
    • Create and continuously improve the design of different learning and organizational development programs leveraging expertise in adult learning methodologies and effectively adapt them to achieve desired outcomes and to help colleagues learn effectively. Develop and facilitate post-training/OD application with program stakeholders. Consult regularly with Senior Management.  
    • Use evidence-based research, data and analytics to continuously evaluate and improve training and OD effectiveness and adjust programs/interventions based on the objectives and post-training evaluations. 
    • Engage and collaborate with the Enterprise Learning Management System (LMS) teams with constructive suggestions to ensure the effectiveness of the LMS locally. Engage and collaborate with the Centers of Excellence Learning & OD teams on various training and OD projects and programs.  
    • Assess and evaluate trainer and facilitator performance and delivery with peers, direct reports, external vendors and in-house trainers as needed. Deliver constructive feedback and coaching support based on evaluation results. Manage external vendor relationships for externally-led programs. 
    • Manage staff performance and workload. Coach team members to improve their knowledge and skills. Manage and lead virtual teams. 
    • Build up strategic professional networks and maintain relationships with external training vendors, universities and other relevant institutions.  
    • Provides other duties as directed 

    Qualifications

    • University Degree (Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree) in Human Resources Administration, Training, Education, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or a related field  
    • Preferred education at a Master's degree level or in certifications related to training and organizational development 
    • Seven (7) years professional level experience in training, organizational development, learning practices, organizational design, or instructional design.  
    • Detailed knowledge of training, organization development and learning practices.  
    • Experience and skills in supervisory and management skills training 
    • Experience in managing, leading and coaching team performance.
    • Demonstrated ability to assess organizational needed, administer programs, and managing complex projects. 
    • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. 
    • Skills in Learning Management Systems and digital tools preferred. 
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work independently. 
    • Preferred experience working in a multi-national company.  
    • 20-50% travel, both domestic and international
