    Responsibilities

    UL seeks an accounting manager who will be responsible for an accounting team (5fte) covering 14 legal entities. The position will be based in Arnhem, Netherlands. 

     

    You will be responsible for the following tasks

    • The financial accounting of all Dutch (6) and foreign (8) entities
    • Oversees and coaches the accounting team (5 fte)
    • Monthly reporting of financial results to the global headquarters
    • Meets outside financial reporting and tax requirements
    • Close involvement in special projects: legal entity optimization, ERP system implementation, mergers & acquisitions and integration
    • Structuring, improving and optimizing processes and operations
    • Business partner for local management
    • Leadership role in EMEA Account-to-Report Team

    Qualifications

    • Public audit experience required 
    • University degree in Accounting or Business Economics added with a Dutch Chartered Accountant degree (Dutch -GAAP / US GAAP)
    • Strong people management skills. Ability to build a high performance team and manage through change projects
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch and strong (internal) customer focus
    • Likes to work in a dynamic, international environment
    • Self-motivated Initiative and drive for continuous improvement
    • Experience with Oracle financial information systems is a plus
