    UL is seeking experienced Senior Software Developer in Test to join the iON Compliance team in Dublin, Ireland.


    iON Compliance is a big data platform combining data ingest, analytics, machine learning and elements of artificial intelligence with a big data lake. iON is now looking to add experienced Senior Software Developers in Test to our team to accelerate the growth of the most innovative UL digital technology investment in its history. Our goal is to enable the UL client base to effectively leverage the recent developments in the digital revolution, by giving them the ability to truly leverage their own corpus of data with internal core competences and win in a rapidly evolving digital eco-system.


    The primary objective of the role is to help the iON Compliance Dublin Technology Team build a data analytics platform and related services in the Azure cloud with a focus on creating automated tests and influencing quality within the team.

    • As part of a close-knit scrum team, you will be involved in the complete software development lifecycle.
    • Develop UI automated tests and automated tests at Service/API layer to execute within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines or as part of scheduled nightly builds and test runs.
    • Integrating test tools with automated CI/CD pipelines hosted on Azure DevOps.
    • Maintain test results and the visualisation of those on dashboards
    • Provide input on issues that impact quality, product performance and system stability
    • Sense of ownership toward product quality.
    • Create test cases from requirements and provides recommendations for new methods and criteria to be tested.
    • A little manual testing may be necessary for what cannot be automated but we expect you to minimise that!
    • Stay in touch with latest industry trends and developments with QA and automation.
    • Work with Data Scientists and assist them with their quality and testing activities.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
    • Experience in Selenium (V3) or similar.
    • Experience in BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow, Serenity, Gauge, et cetera).
    • Experience in Rest Assured, Postman or other API testing frameworks
    • Decent Programming/Scripting skills (for example in C#, Java, Python, JS, shell scripting or Scala)
    • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
    • Possess an agile mindset and are comfortable adapting to change.
    • Be technically curious and eager to keep learning about new technologies and developments.
    • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
    • Experience working with Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning and Data Scientists a plus.
