    Due to our ongoing growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Lead Radio Engineer to join the Consumer Technology division, in Basingstoke, which is one of the most competitive and complex industries when it comes to regulatory and environmental requirements.

     

    As the successful Radio Project Manager you will independently plan and carry out complex and high-level projects to achieve stated objective as well as supporting the planning and direction of project schedules and budgets.

     

    Projects may include cost studies, assessments of operations, methods, and procedures, and reviews of organization structures.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage a team of engineers
    • Schedule, assign, review and coordinate workflow to assure proper utilisation of staff
    • Supervise and train assigned staff
    • Handle the testing to standards for one or more business units
    • Performs laboratory tests and record test results in one or more related areas 
    • Plan tests, evaluate test results and report opinions and interpretations.
    • Develop and validate new test methods.
    • Initiate recommendations for new equipment designs and recommend solutions
    • Develop operating, maintenance, and test procedures

     

    Qualifications

    Skills Required

     

    • University Degree in Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or Physics from an ABET accredited program.
    • Experience of working as an engineer
    • Experience of product-testing, specifically Radio testing ideally
    • Experience of managing / coordinating junior engineers / technicians
    • Experience of coordinating / managing projects
    • Knowledge of EN 300 328 (2.4GHz Radios) & EN 301 893 (5GHz Radios) is ideal
