    Global Market Access Project Engineer

    Due to our ongoing growth, we are currently seeking a GMA Project Engineer to join the Consumer Electronics division, in Europe, which is one of the most competitive and complex industries when it comes to regulatory and environmental requirements.

     

    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    The Global Market Access Wireless (GMA-W) Project Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of GMA Wireless services for manufacturers looking to export electronics products to global markets. The role with require liaising with customers, suppliers, internal sales and operations teams to understand the customer objectives and product technical parameters with a view to project planning and executing the delivery of product approvals services around the world.

     

    In this exciting role, the successful GMA Wireless Project Engineer should either have a technical background in Telecommunication, Radio Frequency (RF), Electronics Engineering or have solid project management experience within similar fields.

     

    You will also be expected to have good communication and presentation skills and be able work with external customers and suppliers as well as internal sales and operations team to effectively deliver customer projects.

     

    UK and overseas travelling may occasionally be required.

     

    Responsibilities

    • To work with customers to gain an understanding of their global approval expectations. This includes understanding the technical details of products that require approval, where approval is to be achieved and any other factors that may influence the delivery of GMA-W such as other project dependencies and priorities.
    • Effectively communicate between external suppliers and customers to ensure product configuration and project documentation requirements have been identified and, within known project dependencies and priorities, define and implement the project plan.
    • Provide regular project updates to customer and update the internal job management system with respect to the progress of GMA-W projects.

    Qualifications

    • Degree or relevant education in Telecommunication, Radio Frequency (RF), Electronics Engineering or similar discipline.
    • Good project management skills, attention to detail and capable of working to consistently high quality standards
    • Prior knowledge of Wireless, Bluetooth and Cellular technologies
    • Experience of working against Global Market Access standards would be an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills in English – fluent speaking another language such as German, Italian and Spanish would be a huge plus!
