    We are looking for a recent graduate/ junior candidate to join a leading international firm with over 15000 employees worldwide for a 1 year fixed term contract. The company is looking to build their presence in South Africa. The ideal candidate is someone who is willing to learn and grow. Able and willing to travel nationally and internationally.

     

    Engineer with solar plants, renewable energy, wind farm design experience to be based in Johannesburg. The candidate should have experience in solar PV projects, performing energy yield analysis, layout designs, electrical designs. Experience in the wind industry would be beneficial.

    Responsibilities

    Our work is varied and includes due diligence studies (technical, contractual and financial) construction and operation monitoring, contractual reviews, energy yield analysis, irradiation studies, feasibility studies, market and strategic advice, project development assistance, regulatory development, analysis and review, technology assessments.

     

    You will work with the engineering team on energy solutions, throughout the various phases of the projects:

    • Design
    • Costing
    • Monitoring
    • Reports
    • On-site installations
    • Project planning
    • Traveling locally and internationally

    Qualifications

    • Must have a B.Sc/B.Eng/B.Tech/NHD in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
    • Should have 2-3 years’ solid experience in renewable energy.
    • Super user knowledge of Word/Excel
    • Writing skills must be excellent
    • Report writing and tendering would form part of daily duties
    • Good communication skills to liaise with clients on site
    • Sound knowledge of the solar and/or wind industry
    • Ability to adapt and learn
    • Independent

    Languages:

    • English (written and spoken)
    • French or Portuguese would be an advantage
