    Are you interested in the world of Payments or eCommerce and want to explore your possible next challenge within a fast-paced and dynamic environment? UL’s Identity Management & Security is looking to add an Advisor to our Advisory department to be involved in payment innovations within traditional Payment Institutions as well as disruptive entrants.

     

    Your challenge is to provide business and technical consulting services on design, implementation, testing and certification of solutions in the domains of mobile payments, eCommerce (e.g. 3DS) and PSD2, keeping payment security as the guiding principle. You will provide advisory services to UL Identity Management & Security customers and support them using UL products, including payment test tools for EMV payment technology and beyond. You will define and evaluate specifications and architecture, prepare reports, analyze information and assist clients in test management. You will proactively seek feedback from customers, use it to identify opportunities for improvement and suggest changes. At the same time, you will contribute to articles, papers and other material that will increase customers’ awareness of UL’s products and leadership in the industry. You will function as domain expert in payment transactions and underlying technologies by keeping fully updated with the latest trends and developments in the payment industry.

    Responsibilities

    The Advisor has got the following key responsibilities:

    • Participate and lead technical projects to realize the (online) payment related implementations
    • Produce high-quality deliverables. This contains, among other things, evaluating the choices concerning architecture, planning and frameworks of the deliverable
    • Execute crucial activities to a project, such as architectural design, impact analysis, implementation plan, test plan, test execution and test analysis
    • Have close contact with the customer as ‘Trusted Advisor’, ensuring excellent, high quality delivery of the project
    • Contribute to service offerings and always look for ways to improve or expand our offerings
    • Become a subject matter expert within the online payment domain and be recognized internally and externally for your knowledge

    Qualifications

    Do you want to be involved in projects that require high level of expertise in the online payment field? Within UL’s Identity Management & Security we expect you to be heavily involved within these types of projects. We expect a proactive attitude and a ‘hands-on’ mentality.

     

    Your profile:

    • Completed Bachelor or Master degree, preferably technical
    • Minimum of two years’ relevant working experience, preferably in the payment market, or with a focus on the issuing/acquiring market or online payments
    • Experience and willingness to work in a project environment with multiple parallel projects independently, with limited supervision
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and flexible team player
    • Strong analytical skills and result driven
    • Willing to travel and work both in our headquarters in Leiden and international subsidiaries as well as working at the customer’s premises internationally
