    Leads Corporate marketing and communications activities in the Latin America (LATAM). Develops and implements regional marketing strategy aligned to the regional business priorities; manages the entire marketing communications campaign, including strategy development/planning, identification of insights, selection of most effective vehicles (including newer social media tools), budget management and research/metrics. Drives marketing synergies by implementing Corporate Marketing processes, tools and guidelines in close collaboration with local BU marketing staff. Provides marketing advice and guidance to the organization to ensure overall marketing effectiveness and drives efforts to position UL as the visionary leader and trusted partner with its current and prospective customers.

     

    This role has accountability for leading and coordinating all marketing efforts in the LATAM region. The ability to work effectively in a matrix organization is critical and it is also key to be fluent in both Brazilian Portuguese, English and in Spanish with the ability to implement marketing activities in those languages.

     

    The Marketing Manager LATAM will report to the International Regional Marketing Director with a dotted line to the Regional VP/GM. He/she will work closely with the regional business leaders, sales, and local marketing staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for defining and delivering corporate marketing campaigns including strategy development/planning, identification of insights, selection of the most effective vehicles, budget management and research/metrics
    • Develops the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources necessary to achieve goals and objectives. Develops and tracks metrics and success criteria for all marketing programs and activities
    • Coordinates and coaches local marketing team to ensure the implementation of effective corporate marketing campaigns, including but not limited to print, digital and web-based campaigns.
    • Works closely with key internal and external stakeholders to develop marketing and advertising strategic direction.  Oversees day-to-day relationship with internal and external partners to drive corporate marketing campaigns and plans
    • Responsible for cross-BU / ‘One UL’ tradeshows and events across the region
    • Educates team on new social media tools (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and effectively leverages them to create a dialogue with target audience
    • Responsible for local websites; Updates and maintenance, but also to develop and implement content strategy and calls to action which are locally relevant in close collaboration with the Corporate Web Team
    • Oversees and manages local Corporate social media channels
    • Oversees and manages local PR activities
    • Provides regional brand governance aligned to the global brand guidelines
    • Partners with UL’s Corporate Marketing teams to create interdisciplinary synergies and alignment
    • Performs other duties as directed 

    Qualifications

    • Degree holder majoring in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related discipline plus at least five years of experience in professional marketing with program managing marketing strategies and advertising campaigns. Master’s in Business or Advertising preferred
    • Solid experience in lead generation and marketing automation preferred
    • Proven experience in digital marketing activities including campaigns, web site development/maintenance, social media channel management, etc.
    • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal and time-management skills
    • Culturally sensitive with strong business acumen and is able to work in a matrix environment
    • Tri-lingual in Brazilian Portuguese, English and in Spanish with proven ability to effectively implement marketing activities in those languages

     

    HIRE-IN

     

    University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree) in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related discipline plus generally five to seven years of experience in professional marketing with program managing marketing strategies and advertising campaigns

     

    Master’s in Business or Advertising is preferred

     

    Tri-lingual in Brazilian Portuguese, English and in Spanish
