    We are looking for a new inside sales colleague to support the Nordic countries and Benelux. The position is based in our Danish office in Ballerup and will report directly to our Nordic Sales Manager, who is also based in Stockholm.


    You will be part of a larger international organization with colleagues and customers in many different countries and you will be in a daily contact with colleagues and customers abroad.


    You will be supporting the Consumer Technology division which provides science-based, industry-accepted standards that allow technology companies to differentiate their products when benchmarked against competitors. The Consumer Technology division helps advance safety and innovation while supporting swift and successful product launches. The main type of customers will be Consumer Technology Manufacturers – with service needs such as:

    •  Safety Certification (UL/IEC 60950, 62368)
    • Wireless Performance Testing (FCC, EU)
    • Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
    • Global Market Access (in-country requirements)
    • And other select services from other divisions based on customer needs.


    Under minimal supervision you will sell ULs products, systems, and/or services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned accounts. Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities. In some cases you may act as a sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, and/or products but in most cases you will partner with Outside Sales to assist in meeting their goals.



    • Identifies prospects through various lead generation activities, including tradeshow, direct mailing, advertising, cold-calling on key industry players and referral program.
    • Calls on prospects to understand their purchase decision makers, decision making process and criteria, and their needs.
    • Discusses UL’s services with escalated prospects that are difficult to penetrate.
    • Provides value propositions, handles objections, prepares quotes, and closes sales by getting prospects’ commitments.
    • Responsible for selling UL’s products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts while meeting financial commitments.
    • Identifies and resolves wide range of issues with little supervision.
    • Performs other duties as directed.


    • University Degree in Technical related discipline plus generally five years of directly related experience.
    • Good knowledge of related competitive market and industry applications (IoT connectivity, Energy & Power Technologies: Circuit protection, Switching devices, Factory Control system and Automation, Electronics controls, Electrical distribution, Wiring devices and Energy systems).   
    • Good knowledge of sales management processes, negotiations, conflict management, CRM, problem solving.
    • The ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules to management and customers.
    • International mindset and good cultural understanding.
    • Fluent in Swedish and English – both oral and written.
