    Due to our ongoing growth and acquisitions, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who will report directly to the Finance Director Europe, Middle-East and Africa and will oversee a team of 4.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the financial accounting of UL’s UK & Ireland affiliates
      Oversees and coaches the UK accounting team 
    • Monthly reporting of financial results to the global headquarters (for 6 entities)
    • Meets outside financial reporting and tax requirements (for 11 entities)
    • Close involvement in special projects: legal entity optimization, ERP system implementation, mergers & acquisitions and integration
    • Structuring, improving and optimizing processes and operations
    • Business partner for local management
    • Leadership role in EMEA Account-to-Report Team

    Qualifications

    • Public audit experience required (Big-4 preferably)
    • University degree in Accounting or Business Economics added with a UK Chartered Accountant degree or equivalent (UK-GAAP / IFRS)
    • Strong people management skills. Hands on experience in leading a team (outside of public audit). Ability to build a high performance team and manage through change projects
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to be involved in Company’s group world-wide financial network and business
    • Experience with leading special projects as mentioned in the job tasks and responsibilities.
    • Likes to work in a dynamic, international environment
    • Initiative and drive for continuous improvement

     

    The preferred location is Basingstoke, UK however will consider other UK locations.

    The international scope of the role and special projects will require the Accounting Manager UK & Ireland to travel (inter)nationally.
