    Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) is a safety-science company that – for the past 100+ years – has had a strong focus on home and workplace safety. The new Identity Management & Security (IMS) division of UL extends this safety mission from ‘safety in the physical world’ to ‘security in digital the digital world’. UL Identity Management & Security focusses on securing large, mission critical digital transaction infrastructures such as payment networks, ticketing infrastructures, and mobile commerce environments. UL helps our payment industry customers to build trusted security, compliance and interoperability into their payment infrastructures globally and locally.


    The Identity Management & Security team in Singapore serves to offer certification services for (new) cards, terminals and hosts in the payment industry. Since this market is moving and growing rapidly, Identity Management & Security– as a customer focused company – needs to constantly move along with and adapt to the market. Currently we are hiring a Technical Project to join the UL team in Solaris, Singapore.



    The Technical Project will work in an international and commercial environment, cooperating with our experts in Asia, Pacific as well as colleagues around the globe. He or she will be part of the Security Evaluations service line within the Identity Management & Security division, to manage developments of the projects, deadline and stakeholders, which requires a clear balance between managerial and technological skills.

    • Pro-actively collaborate with industry players to define robust standards and policies bringing global expertise to local needs.
    • Be responsible for the quality of all deliverables of the project, including but not limited to the choices and options concerning the scoping, planning and framework of the deliverable (in cooperation with the team);
    • Monitoring quality of all deliverables of the project in cooperation with the team, including but not limited to the choices and options concerning the scoping, planning and framework of the deliverable
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time;
    • Provide timely updates to stakeholders concerning the progress of projects and deliverables
    • Ensure the quality of deliverables from the project team are in line with UL’s high standards’
    • Keep up-to-date on the latest standards in payment transactions, especially on:-

    - Financial cryptography

    - Payments security and regulations






    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer or Electronic Engineering or related field, with years of relevant experience in project management project;
    • Candidates with experience in the Quality Management space including but not limited to ISO17025 will be highly regarded
    • Familiarity with payments security standards
    • Strong ability to determine a clear framework with regards to planning and communicate delivery expectations to the team;
    • Demonstrate aptitude and strong potential as a fast learner with a flexible mindset;
    • A self-motivated team player who is able to work well under pressure and independently as an individual contributor and lead.
    • Willing to learn (about) new skills and technologies
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience in hardware development or in a laboratory environment is a plus
