    This Engineer will be based in our Laboratory in Kian Teck (Nearest MRT Pioneer).

    Job Responsibilities

    • As directed follows defined test plans and datasheets. Evaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results. Records and explains test results and completes test report for Engineering staff.
    • As instructed examines customer samples and learns to operate basic tests for each case. Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
    • Operates with supervision within defined limits of responsibility.
    • Develops working knowledge of the job, methods, instrumentation and systems.
    • Performs other duties as directed.
    • Responsible for evaluating, explaining, and completing test results of customer samples.
    • Follows defined test plans and data sheets.
    • Communicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.

    Qualifications

    Ideal candidate for this role should have possess a Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or Computing Engineering, or similar disciplines with strong interest in product and solutions development and validation. Preferably with RF/EMC background for testing and trouble shooting.

    He/She should be able to manage and co-ordinate the schedule, perform testing according to test procedures, manage initial test setup & preparation, as well as soldering, and first level troubleshooting on issues. You should be able to compile test summary & defects summary, conduct validation of benchtop / retesting.

    Knowledge of RF/EMC test methodologies and use of RF/EMC test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, noise figure meter and network analyzer; will be added advantage
